Dear Gary and Rui
Thank you both for guiding us around São Miguel! It was such a pleasure for myself and our grownup children to be told so much about the island, and we saw and learnt things that we could not have read in guidebooks. As the husband was ill while we were on tour, we had Rui show us Laoga di Fogo and Furnas a couple of days later (we thought he must not miss these!) and he also took us around your beautiful town Ribeira Grande and told us that you have no hotel there - that is really a big shame - maybe that ought to be your big project?
