TOUR DURATION: 4 hours and 30 mins to 5 hours.

Pick up at the Seapier after the ship is fully docked.

Settle in as you prepare for the stunning landscape of the island, as you start to drive towards Furnas, but first stop at the viewpoint Miradouro de Santa Iria to see the dramatic North coast . From there you will drive to the Tea Plantation Goreana. Discover the vast tea plantation fields, tea factory visit, and enjoy a free taste of green and black tea. Getting closer to Furnas, you will drive up to the crater of Furnas to the viewpoint to see all of the Furnas Volcanic Crater (lake and village) called Pico do Ferro. Then we will drive down to or in the crater of Furnas to the Furnas village, and stop at the main hot springs and Thermal water springs called Caldeiras” in the village. A wonderful stop to appreciate the regions natural beauty and volcanic activity!

Then will drive up and out of the crater of Furnas passing and stopping beside the Furnas Lake seeing the Furnas Lake, and from a distance the hot springs/furmaroles, more known for the place where they make the Tradition “Cozido das Furnas” stew, the popular food cooked underneath the ground. Then we will drive up and out of the crater of Furnas through Vila Franca do Campo town (the first capital of the island, before the earthquake in 1522). The landscape throughout your tour is stunning and one of your last sights is a drive to the viewpoint on the South coast at Caloura view point, to see the South coast and natural swimming pools in the Ocean. A memorable view before your drive back to your cruise ship.
